About PSK University

Noah Katz is the Co-President and COO of PSK Supermarkets, operating 13 world-class Foodtown, Pathmark, and Freshtown grocery stores in the New York metropolitan region. Noah and his brother Daniel are partners and have been working in the stores since they were kids. Their grandfather and father started the business over 50 years ago and Noah and Daniel have dramatically grown the company over the last 25 years. Noah and Dan both acknowledge that their success certainly comes from the hard work of their great team members. Their ultimate goal is to create a wonderful shopping experience where peoples food dollars go further than other stores.

Daniel is the Co-President and CEO of PSK Supermarkets. Together with his brother Noah and over 1000 terrific associates, the company operates Foodtown, Freshtown, and Pathmark stores in the New York Region. Dan and Noah have been working in the stores since they were kids when their father Sydney and Grandfather Paul were still operating the company. While Noah and the teams run the stores, Dan’s focus has always been helping to grow the company and create more jobs through the acquisition of new stores. He has focused on purchasing underperforming stores from other chains so that the company can take them over, renovate them, create more jobs than existed before, and serve the new communities. It has been a win win formula for everyone. PSK University complements his desire for people to learn and grow and move up through the company. 

Ed Hunt is the Vice President of PSK Supermarkets. Ed’s primary job is to run the stores with help from the executive and the store level management teams. Ed Hunt is one of the most dynamic operations managers in the industry. His expertise ranges through every aspect of store operations: execution, driving sales, cost control, merchandising, buying, hiring, training, team building and more. Ed’s contribution to PSK University comes with his desire to see our associates learn and move up through the company. The success of the company can be directly attributed to his ability to put winning teams of people together in each store. 

Mike Kienzlen is a supermarket shrink and operations control expert who is a founder of Retail Profit Solutions, a firm that specializes in consulting with supermarkets to increase their profits. Mike has worked in the supermarket industry for over 40 years.
